Fr. Tony was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland and an ordained priest in the Roman Catholic Church. He is certified as a Spiritual Care Practitioner by the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS) and a member of the Canada Province of Redemptorists and was ordained in 2007. Fr. Tony has worked extensively in healthcare chaplaincy as both a lay and ordained chaplain, in both rehabilitation and acute care settings in Ontario and Newfoundland. He has worked in parish ministry as associate pastor in Holy Redeemer Parish, Sudbury, ON; St. Mary’s Parish, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and St. Teresa’s Parish here in St. Johns. At present he serves as a hospital chaplain and Grief & Bereavement counselor in Newfoundland Health Services, Eastern Region, Co-Ordinator of the Redemptorist Adult Faith Formation Team in St. John’s, as well as many other archdiocesan and community roles. Fr. Tony enjoys his ministry very much, especially the opportunities to preach and teach. To relax, he enjoys reading, listening to music, cooking, camping, hiking, snowshoeing and spending time with family, his beloved niece and nephew, a special dog, colleagues and friends.
