Strategic Plan
Queen’s College has launched a Strategic Planning process to lead to the development of a comprehensive, forward-looking strategic plan. The plan will strengthen the College’s ability to form leaders for ministry, deepen spiritual formation, ensure financial sustainability, and respond effectively to the changing needs of the local Church and broader community.
Grounded in an ethics of care and the Gospel of Jesus, the planning process will reflect Anglican theological values — including dialogue, accompaniment, compassion, hospitality, critical reflection, and shared learning — while integrating academic excellence, relational leadership, and practical ministry application.
We have contracted Lynn Morrissey, an independent consultant, to lead this work and take us through the steps needed to arrive at a comprehensive plan that is inclusive, relevant and realistic.

We’re excited to work with Lynn; she has extensive experience overseeing these processes and we’re confident that her expertise and thoughtful approach will serve us well. Lynn is a Memorial University graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce and MBA. For over 25 years, she was an Assistant Professor specializing in communications with the Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University, where she continues to teach on a per course basis. She has received the Dean’s Teaching Award, the Dean’s Service Award, and the Dean’s Citizenship Award for exemplary service to the Faculty. She has also been awarded the President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching, the highest teaching award given at Memorial University. Most recently her contribution to Memorial University was recognized by naming her as one of the Memorial Centennial 100 recipients.
A significant piece of her work will be engaging with and gathering perspectives from stakeholders across the three Newfoundland and Labrador Anglican dioceses, plus current faculty and students. Lynn will be holding in person consultations in each diocese, and these meetings will be supplemented with online meetings via Zoom. This province is geographically spread out over a massive distance, so we will not be able to go everywhere. We are, though, committed to gatherings in Corner Brook, Gander, and St. John’s. More details regarding these meetings will be made available via our website, social media, and the dioceses as they become available.
We expect this process to take about 10 months with the goal to have our Strategic Plan finalized later in 2027. We plan to have a dedicated page for updates on the process and important dates to remember. We are excited to get started and to have the College positioned well for the future.
