The Rev James Ravenscroft

James is an ordained minister with The United Church of Canada. Originally from southern Ontario, Rev. James has served both Roman Catholic parishes and United Church congregations across the country, including in Indigenous communities as well as in urban settings. He seeks to nurture inclusive communities where people of all beliefs, identities and experiences can find their place. He is also interested in the intersection of spirituality and justice, especially how a spiritual connection to nature informs an ethic of environmental justice. Rev. James has completed a Master of Divinity degree from St. Peter's Seminary (University of Western Ontario), a Master of Arts (Liturgical Studies) from the University of Notre Dame, and is currently working towards a Doctor of Ministry through the Toronto School of Theology. He has been chaplain at the college since September 2022.
