Dr. Trevor Pomeroy

After completing his M.A. in Religious Studies at Memorial University, Dr.
Pomeroy became a grateful recipient of the Rothermere Fellowship, which
allowed him to go on to complete his D.Phil in Theology at the University of
Oxford. Inspired by his previous service as an army medic in the Canadian
Armed forces, his graduate research focused on gaining deeper insight into the
Hebrew Biblical texts describing warfare. More than a Hebrew biblical scholar,
Dr. Pomeroy’s background and research interests include Patristics, New
Testament, Pauline literature, Systematic Theology, Medieval Theology and
Philosophy, as well as the Sociology of Warfare and Violence.
