About the event

Technology has always influenced religion, perhaps none more so than digital technology. The internet and the smartphone, social media and live-streaming have challenged the church to reimagine ministry. Now, AI technology is once again causing upheaval within the church and the wider society with promises of advancement and potential for doom.

So where are we in terms of digital ministry? What are the implications of AI for the Newfoundland and Labrador church context? How can AI become an invaluable resource for faith traditions in helping shape a safer, more just, more peaceful and more inclusive world? Queen’s College Faculty of Theology is pleased to welcome local church leaders who will help us survey the digital ministry landscape.

This is an online event and all are welcome.
